Are You Ready for the Spotlight?
This week I'm tracing the launch journey of my current client and good friend of many years…someone I'm inspired by, excited by, and just generally wildly impressed by: Andrea Palomera.
When you look up the phrase “world citizen”, the definition is basically just a photo and life story of this incredible human. She speaks 4 languages fluently (and others moderately), has lived on (at least) 3 continents, is a mother of 2, and wife of 1.
She designs gorgeous spaces and elevates every birthday party and special event accordingly. (I got a lesson in balloon arch making from her recently and I am better for it. ;-)
Still, this super woman is a human woman.
As we put together her new website for this new venture in her life as a Pilates studio owner (see below here), she was very honest with me that taking photos and videos wasn't her favorite thing to do.
(Putting it mildly.)
She acknowledged the need for it, of course, but had to trust me - trust the process - to make sure she would see her best self - elevated - in the end.
We just did the photo shoot this week, so all the original photography isn't up on the site yet, but WOW are there some gorgeous shots. More on that below.
The reason I feel it's so valuable to share her journey with you is because I know many people feel too inhibited to think they are worth the investment of professional photography.
Or, these days, some folks can be overly confident in thinking that a cell phone and a friend is the same as having a producer, photographer, and strategic plan.
In just about 3 hours and 3 costume changes, with 6 students, me, the photog, and a plan, we shot around 500 photos that Andrea can use on the website and easily use for social media output for a year!
Professional photography is a no brainer for solopreneurs committed to consistent branding across platforms and presenting themselves at their elevated best.
Even if you aren't in the Bay Area, I can help produce your photo shoot. Want to talk more about it? Click below.
Championing you on,

Three Signs It's Time to Invest in Professional Photography
By investing in professional photography, you showcase your commitment to quality and carry through the distinctive visual identity of your brand that will resonate with potential clients. Here's how to tell if it's time to take your business's visual identity to the next level with professional photography.
1. Your current images don't reflect your brand's growth
As your business evolves, so should your visual content. If your existing images feel outdated or no longer align with your brand's identity and offerings, it's time for a fresh photo shoot to capture the essence of your brand's growth.
2. You're missing out on emotional connections with your audience
Powerful visuals evoke emotions and forge deeper connections with potential clients. If your website and marketing materials lack images that tell a story or showcase your brand's unique personality, a professional photo shoot can help bridge that gap.
3. You're ready to stand out from the crowd
Stock photos can only take you so far. Custom, professional photography sets your business apart from competitors, highlighting your unique selling points and creating a memorable impression on potential clients. If you're eager to make a statement and elevate your brand, it's time to invest in a photo shoot.
